Other boards have dual bios as well, this one has a logic error i think.
Which will explain GA's unwilling to admit to issues since than they have to replace all of them!
I thought about sueing them but, by the time case is through,...

If the motherboard doesn't like the settings you set regarding memory frequency voltage OC etc, It fails the POST. all is normal until now.
Except this mobo is unable to load default/last values, or considers this a BIOS failure...

They rushed the X38 out of the door so fast, I am surprised we didn't get a flat packed, assemble yourself components out of the box like IKEA.
I am sensing the same thing with X48, again too fast, no decent bios etc etc....

CPU: around 30 °C, 40-45 °C under very heavy load
Motherboard 30 - 35 °C again under heavy load...

Ouch...
I know how frustrating it is when things don't do what they are supposed to out of the box.
If you have any courage left, i will suggest the new F7 BIOS, seems to be a bit better, but still very touchy about memory...

Yes it is, but it was a tryout, modules survived, Board did not (usual bios failure.)

GA-x38-DQ6 with an attidude
Ok, This is the last ditch effort for me b4 i throw this mobo into the bin.
First the Config:
Intel E6850 @ 3.0GHZ, 1333FSB
Kingston HyperX KHX9600D2K2/2G x2 (this is 4x 1GB Modules)
XFX 8800GTX (NO OC)
Tagan Twin Engine etc 800W PSU
Vista Ultimate x64...
