This looks awesome, I'm going to have a read... i love tweaks |-). There is just so many hidden features locked away in XP.
Has anyone ever encountered the disability keys ? i.e. tapping the right shift button five times, ot holding down the right shift button for 8 seconds. What happens...

i would boot up using windows 95/98 floppy disk and use fdisk to remove the paritions. Alternatively, if your biso supports it, perform a low level disk format ?
Be careful that you do these actions on the correct hard disk !

make sure you switch you on DMA. Skipping the CPU should give you a bigger speed increase.

My laptop hard disk went dead on me once as well. I had lots of information there and was really pissed off. I tried buying a 2.5" to 3.5" converter. I could see the hard disk, the data but could not retrieve the data.
That's when I discovered a program called Easy Recovery...

There are also software HDD LED lights if you are interested. I've use one from O&O software (the people that make O&O Defragger). It wsa okay but not as responsive as the real hard disk LED itself.

you should also check out staticice http://www.staticice.com.au. All I can say is they have one large database which seems reasonably up to date...
