Vid card and driver problem

Everytime i download the new set of detonator drivers for my computer, they install ok but then every so often the screen just goes black and then it goes back to what i was doing, is there neway of stopping this. Its really annoying plase help me.

umm sorry this is the first time i have posted here.

I'm running windows xp
2.28 ghz P4
256 mb ddr ram
60 gig hdd
geforce 2 mx 400

Do a "clean install" of your detonators. The method is completely covered step by step on this page of my system optimization guide.
