We've waited how long now for NV30 and you guys expect to see it H2 or Q3 of 2004... right... lets start placing bets. I bet nVidia dont even press relase til Q4 2004 and we dont see stock on shelves til H1 2005. Just because they have their self imposed 6-month product cycle, doesnt mean A: they cant break it, and B: it doesnt consist of halfway ****, like NV32, NV35, and NV38.

I do like the numbers thou... except that 500$US one.

Believe me, if you're impressed with the GeForceFX, then the NV40's going to blow you away.

Blow me away? Or blow a gaping hole in my pocketbook?

                    Both

Fact, in the 60's one transistor cost $30.00, so an NV40 would have set you back a cool $6 billion (USD), OUCH!

yeah, "just enough" (for ONE transistor) ;)

ok maybe not "just enough" might have to flip the love seat over too.

So, when is NV35 supposed to be released ? I heard "spring time", but who knows these days...Think it will have the 256bit memory ? Does it even matter all that much ?

The NV35 should be released in H2 2003 with support for DirectX 9/1.

                              Possible improvements could be,

Change from 128-Bit to 256-Bit memory bus as your've mentioned.
                              Increased GPU core speed, 600-650MHz
Increased DDR2 memory speed, 1200-1400 (Effective)
                              Small increase in transistor count

You'll have to wait for the NV40 to see real improvements over the Geforce FX.
