Re: HIS Radeon HD 7970 X Turbo - where to buy

Thank you for your fast reply.

After paying more attention I read the following, "It pretty much is the recently released GHz concept, with the Tahiti XT2 GPU placed onto an overhauled PCB and that ICEQ X2 series cooler. The latest SKU is tagged H797QMGT3G is not even listed yet on their website".

I checked myself a few minutes ago and could not find the product number H797QMGT3G at HIS's web site. It looks like some waiting is due, and I am affraid the price may not be worth the extra power. It is impressive that they lowered temperature and power requirements at 1180 MHz core and memory at 6 Gbps.

Re: HIS Radeon HD 7970 X Turbo - where to buy

        You're welcome.
I look closely at a video card's cooling performance and lack of noise.
Many cards have similar gaming performance, but differ in how well they keep things cool and how much noise they generate.
I'm will to pay a bit more for a card that has superior cooling along with lower noise.
