    Hi,

    Basically I'm interested to know if I'm getting the max out of my GFX card.

    Here are my specs:

    Mainboard: Gigabyte X58A-UD7
    CPU: Intel Core i7 930 @ 3.8GHz (Cooled with Corsair H70)
    GPU: HIS HD5970
    Memory: 12GB G.Skill RIPJAWS DDR3 @ 1800MHz
    HDD: 240GB OCZ Vertex 2 SSD
    OS: Windows 7 64-bit
    PSU: Tagan Platinum Series 1100W

    I really thought I'd get a better score than this.. What do you's think?

    I think that's better than the Heaven scores I got with 5870, check my review linked in my signature.

      Heaven v2.1 DX10 @ 1920x1080 no AA, x4AF = AVG 100FPS. Score 2526. 5870 SOC = 1864
      Heaven v2.1 DX10 @ 1920x1080 8AA, x16AF = AVG 60FPS. Score 1531. 5870 SOC = 1087

      Heaven v2.1 DX11 @ 1920x1080 no AA, x4AF = AVG 55.6FPS. Score 1400. 5870 SOC = 1064
      Heaven v2.1 DX11 @ 1920x1080 8AA, x16AF = AVG 37.8FPS. Score 953. 5870 SOC = 704

      Not too bad really..

        Ya I thought it performed pretty well, especially compared to the 4890 I pitted it against :)

        It's behind your card by a fair amount though!
