Just my opinion, but I think it would be safe to recommend the Ti4200 boards as the BUDGET boards for a system. They're half the cost of the big boys and overclock like nothing else.

That was an awsome review. To the point and right on. Thats it, Im getting the ti4200. Ill get the 128 meg version though, the Xmicro ti4200 looks sweet. Any one know the ETA for this card and where to get it? How much?

I can't say WHERE to pick it up because different manufacturers key in on different parts of the world, but the Ti4200 boards are shipping right now and are going in the area of $200us and less.

Also, it is highly possible that you won't get quite the overclock on the 128MB version since they are running slower at default speeds (250/444 default). But the added memory should offset any possible disadvantages of having to run a little slower. :)

Thanks for the response. I went to xmicros website, and they said that the 128 mg version will have VIVO features but do you know if it will come with the software to take advantage of the vivo features?

Is there any "real world" performance gain in the 128mb ti4200 over the 64mb ti4200..

That depends on what ya want as the 128MB versions are supose to use slightly slower speed memory to try and compensate and keep to the price structure of the whole range but then they do have that 2x of extra mem to use. ;)

BTW with whats around now both versions are 50/50 with what's available now but future games just around the corner may very well need that extra memory. :smokin:

yea i'd definantely get the 128mb version...lol it seems quite strange of nvidia to have GF4mx series of cards as the ti4200 owns it and doesn't cost a hell of a lot more:afro:

I can almost guarantee that you'll get some kind of software to support the ViVo features.. not much point otherwise...
