  • beware of using arctic silver on video cards!

    just a warning! if u use arctic silver on your video card...e'g if u replace your gpu cooler....make sure not to get any on th pcb! i did it waith my old geforce 3 ti 500 and it would'nt boot becasue it was shorting out....luckily apart from having a panic attck, no long term damage was done to my card...but be careful! my frend acidentally got some on his geforce 4 ti4600 ram and it made wierd fuzzy noises....:afro:

    by the way this is with arctic silver 2....i'm not sure if arctic silver 3 or alumina is electrically conductive....proabbly not but just incase!

    well its just common sence to not get any on the PCB of anything ;)

      haha, yeah I would have thought so too....

      BTW alumina doesn't conduct electricity.
