  • Video card adapter question.

I have a vid card with vivo. I want to be able to hook up my satellite to this and watch it and record it on my computer. The problem is I don't have a coax adapter. Where can I get one? Do I need a program to make this work?

    Re: Video card adapter question.

VIVO and a TV card are two different things. VIVO simply means that you can hook up a digital camcorder, DVD player, VHS, or something in that lineup of components directly to your PC to view it (through the S-Video port). Even then, you would need some sort of software utility to record the digital data. What you're wanting to do still requires a TV tuner and the only video boards I am aware of offhand that allow TV signal input are the ATI All-In-One series product line. These boards are graphics cards with TV tuners built onto the main PCB.
