  • what Video card

    Hi,
What is the cheapest video card that will support DirectX v9 3D? Thanks

    Re: what Video card

A GeForce 5200 or a Radeon 9200SE. However, those cards won't play many newer games and won't play most DX9 games very well. The minimum I would suggest is a GeForce 6200, if you're using PCI-E, or a Radeon 9550/9600, if you're using AGP.

Thanks, All I want is to use the Video card With Roxio v7.5... Not for game. My dell optiplex gx110 video card doesn't support it. Please Advise.

Why do you think you need a DirectX 9 card for a CD burning program?

            Re: what Video card

Last time I checked, Roxio was a CD burning program, not a video encoder. Regardless of that, video encoding programs don't use DirectX or the video card at all. Games, benchmarking programs, and 3D rendering programs will make use of a DirectX 9 video card.
