Got a video card going out in my secondary system... don't wanna spend a lot of cash on it, and really haven't kept up on all the new "budget" cards coming out lately. I want to stick with ATI, and want to stay under $125, but there are so many choices now that I didn't know about... x300s and 9600 pros and such like that.. so what ATI card for under $125 will give me the most bang for my buck? It's an Athlon 1700+ on a Gigabyte GA-7VTXE mobo with 512mb PC2100 ram.... can't remember if it's AGP 4x or 8X, but since cards are backwards compatible, shouldn't matter much.... anyway, what does anyone suggest? and I don't need an AIW, the extras would do me no good, it's mainly for MP3s and schoolwork, and maybe some very minor gaming...

Re: Best bang for $125....
A SAPPHIRE RADEON 9800PRO would probably be a good choice for that price range $124. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102362
If you had PCI-express I would recommend a card with a Radeon X700 chipset on it. Its a great performer for around a $100 and video game compatability is superb.
