PCI - Xpress worth it?

As you all probably know by now I'm building a new system and i can't decide to wait to a socket 939 board with PCI-xpress comes out or just get my original choice of the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum. I'm pretty confused about the pci-express so any help is appreciated.

There's no point in waiting unless you need PCI-E for something. It's useless for video cards and will remain so for quite a while. There are practical applications for a PCI-E board, but they have nothing to do with gaming.
