I think the card flash is just paper weight...reading the post in the link, i didn't see any relative performance boost. This is just like a 9800np ---> 9800xt. The flash is just for the "9800xt' word to be displayed in properties. The orginal 5950 would still beat your knock-off. Unless you can prove me wrong. :rolleyes2

Not true at all AsianBatman...check my compare links and look at what card im using...

        Clocks before flash : 490/900

        Clocks after flash : 535/965

Clocks after custom cooling : 545/985

These are highest stable for benchmarking.

And new high scores. Did this about a week ago and no negative effects whatsoever. Runs daily now at 525/965 effortlessly.

Highest previous 3DMark03 score was 6835 and AM3 was 52k.

I do but it can be done with both.

I don't know if my results are better because of that though.

AsianBatman: I've just fitted an ATI card, my first non Nvidia card for five years and I'm very happy with it. Both companies make excellent products, but I believe at present ATI has the edge in quality, if not speed.

Sorry Asian Batman only found it the other day, but clock speeds have ramped up by loads have yet to run a benchmark will report back the highest mark on aquamark before was about 38000 so will see how much the increase is. Prob is aquamark is screwed wont load up anymore dont no what done with it will try and find 3d mark 03 have it on disc somewhere will report back.
