  • Geforce Fx 5700 various questions ?

  • #2
If youre getting an Ultra, it's not a bad card. It gets very close scores to my ATI Radeon 9800 np in 3dmark tests in my systems. Hopefully you have room in your case becuase the EVGA GeForce FX 5700 ultra I have is big, long, and heavy. . Not sure about the regular Geforce FX 5700 or if its a good card or not:confused:.

Most everyone here seems to say the ATI Radeon 9600 XT is the way to go in that price range so I would consider that card also if I were you since ATI released it most recent set of very stable drivers for video games.

5700 and the 9600xt are head to head, but when AA and AF is on, the 9600 takes the lead by a small margin. The 9800pro is 15% ahead of the 5700. I am not sure about the np though.

The link of the product would be good.
Also, the 256mb version have slower memory, so i would go with 128 atm.

5700U owns the 9600XT in both 3DMark2001 and 3DMark2003...and probably Aquamark3 as well.
