Hello, I'm new to these forums.
I'm trying to overclock my Xeon x5460 past 3.99ghz. I've ran IBT for 10 loops at high passed successfully as the screenshot shows. I'm using a board I recently required from a friend, the GA-EP43-UD3L. Raising the FSB any higher causes the system to fail to post. I've tried to change many system but unfortunately my knowledge fails me, so here is my settings:
Robust Graphics Booster: Turbo
Clock Ratio: 9.5
Host Frequency: 420
CPU Frequency: 3.99
PCIe Frequency: 101
Performance Enhance: Turbo
(G)MCH Frequency Latch: 400mhz
SPD: 2.00D
Memory Frequency: 840
vCore: 1.325
CPU Termination: 1.2
CPU Reference: 0.805
MCH Core: 1.1
ICH 1/0: 1.55
DRAM Voltage: 2.0
CPU and PCIe Drive: 800mv
CPU and MCH Clock Skew: 0ps
Suggestions? Also tried putting the SPD at 2.6D, but would fail IBT.
(I really didn't want to post this, seeing as many others have similar threads, but it was difficult for me to parse through those threads, especially seeing that none had the same chipset I had. Even with the knowledge I did gain from those threads, I couldn't get it past 3.9. I know this thing can go farther because on my old G31 board I was able to at least post at 4.2)
