Asus Driver issues?
I have an rog maximus v formula mb running windows 7 and until about a month ago all was fine but I think a driver has become corrupt but I've tried all I can think of to cure it. I can use usb ports for mouse etc but as soon as I put in a usb flash drive it comes up with a cross, saying drivers not installed. Also my printer has the same issues. It happens both with usb ports that are connected to mb rear and 2 other usb bays that internally connected to separate headers.
Did a fresh install on another ssd with windows 10 and the issue is not there so I assume it is not hardware failing.
Tried install chipset and usb drivers from asus mb page. The chipset driver seems fine but the usb driver gives bsod c5. Tried it several times and it seems to consistently bsod.
Tried uninstall in device manager and rescan hardware also tried the same but reboot. Neither helped
