  • Coolermaster HHC-001 vs. SLK 800

I'm wondering if I would see much if any improvement from switching from my Coolermaster HHC-001 to a SLK-800. Under full load *seti* my xp 2100+ maxes out at 53c, average is around 50c. Ambient temperature in my room is 29c. *Yes I'm aware thats painfully hot, damn St. Louis weather along with crappy air conditioning in this house*

I am using the stock coolermaster fan on this heatsink, I'm not overclocking, yet.

    Thanks again.

The SLK-800 with almost any fan attached will eat the HHC-001 and still feel hungary so long as your case ventilation is good (case temps should be less than 4c over room temps, I run at 2c over. If your's is more than this amount then there's the place to start). A combination of SLK-800 teamed up with a Thermaltake SMART II variable control fan is an excellent combination. ;)
