I just recently purchased one of these waterblocks for my video card and I'm currently fighting EKWB's support as they say NOW they do not support the stock or 3rd party back plates.
This is ridiculous, as there is 2GB of RAM on the back that would be uncooled/unprotected!!
They specifically stated in both of their news releases that they supported the videocard (by model number no less)
At the time of ordering, on their "coolingconfigurator.com" website where you plug in your video card details, it was supported. Now, they list on that configurator that they do not support the backplate and that we need to go and buy screws.
I will let you know the outcome, but as of now they are unwilling to help. they cite: "Due to many disclaimer, terms of use and notifications we publish there is nothing misleading here"
I know I wont ever buy another product from them, that is TERRIBLE support. Ironically all they need to do is ship a few screws that are like 2mm longer... it could fit in an envelope the size of a stamp... It baffles me they do not apologize for the mistake and correct it immediately. The cost to them would be negligible.
I would return it, however it'll cost me minimum $20 shipping and another $15 restocking fee... $35 loss on a $100 product!
I guess I will be sourcing out screws (M3x6 DIN7985) from somewhere! Any suggestions for Canada, preferably Ontario area?
Thanks
Syn
