  • Auros Elite AX V2 rev 1.2 motherboard system locking up

Just built/fresh install of Windows 10. Nothing special, no over clocking, just memory, motherboard, M2 drive, Ryzen 5600 G, pretty much default settings.

But system just keeps locking up. But it dies kind of slowly. First, an open window will freeze, then something else will jam up, then loose mouse/keyboard, etc. So when it starts going south, I can continue to do some things for a little while until I loose it completely. Never seen anything like this.

If anybody has any idea of where I can even begin to look to diagnose/solve this problem, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks

You can run a memory test to check for potential RAM issues. MemTest86 is a free and popular option you can download and run from a bootable USB drive. build now gg

Hello, I think you should monitor temperatures. High temperatures can lead to system instability and lockups. Check the temperatures of your CPU and GPU using monitoring software like HWMonitor or Open Hardware Monitor. Ensure that adequate cooling is in place and that the temperature levels are within acceptable ranges.

Hi, I would recommend that you make sure all drivers are up to date, especially for the motherboard, graphics card and chipset.

Also you can test the memory using Windows Memory Diagnostics or Memtest86 to troubleshoot memory problems. Verify the health of your M.2 hard disk using software such as CrystalDiskInfo to troubleshoot storage related issues.
Check the motherboard for available BIOS updates, as they may contain stability fixes.
