Stability of Aero G z790 mobo, esp. with onboard Intel LAN (2.5g)

I'm deciding between the Aero G Z790 mobo and the more expensive MSI Carbon Z790, but leaning to the Aero because of the price. Apparently the Aero G uses the Intel i225 Lan chip (for 2.5g) and the new MSI Carbon uses the i226. The i225 is reported to have a lot of stability problems -- I've seen posts about these problems involving Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, and specifically the Z790 Aero. Does anyone know if these issues have been resolved? And is there any major issue affecting the Aero G Z790 (or the MSI Carbon z790) that I should know about. Thank you. (Looks like the MSI board has had several more BIOS releases (and more recently), but not sure if that's a pro or con!)
