I purchased a new board, GA-H55-USB3 , and the CPU Lock and Backplate were in a wrapper not installed. I need to ask if the backplate is screwed direct to the board or should there be spacers so it does not short out the exposed solder points. Looking at a picture online it looks like it is mounted directly on the board. I tried to upload a jpg but it errors out. (The attachment storage directory does not exist or is not writable.)
