  • Help B550i Aorus Pro AX + Ryzen 5800x Crashing with core performance boost enabled

Help I'm getting pretty fed up with this board and CPU as i have been struggling with it for almost a year now.

Narrowed down to the computer crashing with core performance boost enabled.

I can run bio F10 fine and there are absolutely no crashes and with core performance boost enabled, unfortunately the problem is the computer doesn't fully shut down when on bio F10. When it has been fully shut down and out of power the computer doesn't boot up until i have have to clean the bios by jumping the pin on the board. sure its fine when you don't shut it down or anything but having to tear open my SFFPC every time to reboot is getting very tiresome.

I have tried F12, F13, F14, F15 bios. all of these bios fix the powering off issue but all of them introduce the crashing blue screen after a few minutes booted into windows. I tried updating to all the latest chipset drivers and other drivers i could find.

I even reformatted twice today once with windows 10 and then another with windows 11 hoping it might help.

I tried turning of XMP and PBO still stable with core performance boost off.

What seems to be happening at the moment is that the ryzen 5800x is for some reason boosting byself to a point that it makes itself crash. there seems to be some sort of power issue but i dont know what they did when they changed F10 which works to any other bios update that makes it unstable. does anyone have any ideas about how to solve this stupid thing im about ready to toss this board and chip out the window.

Any help would be appreciated not sure at this point if its the board or CPU but it does seem like its a hardware issue.

    Thanks
