Haven't really seen this issue mentioned anywhere on the internet but it definitely seems to be the case.
Ran into this issue troubleshooting my 3070 Vision black screening/restarting during gameplay only in a variety of games. Read about how if your PCIe slot is set to Gen4, it could cause issues and people generally recommend setting it to Gen3.
Only thing is that F20 on the Z490 Vision G seems to be broken in that department and changing the "Max Link Speed" only shows auto, Gen1, Gen2, and Gen3. Through Device Manager, Nvidia's control panel, CPU-Z, and GPU-Z running the render test, it's evident my PCIe x16 slot is indeed at Gen4 even though I switched it from Auto to Gen3. Tried switching it to Gen2, same Gen4 speeds. Screenshot showing all 4 programs showing Gen4: https://imgur.com/04VhuBV
Build Specs:
11700k
Z490 Vision G
3070 Vision
16GB D50 3600MHz
Cooler Master V850 V2 850W PSU
Is there any word on an updated BIOS being replaced by Gigabyte to fix this bug?
