  • Gigabyte Z590 AORUS ULTRA - 1.0

I have purchased the subject board and I am considering the following RAM:
    Team T-FORCE DARK Z 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model TDZRD432G3600HC18JDC01

This RAM is listed on the supported list on the motherboard page. However, descriptions say that the motherboard will only support 3200 RAM. I contacted Gigabyte they say they only guarantee 3200. That I should go to the RAM vendor website and check there. I did and it says that the RAM is supported by this motherboard. I will be using an Intel Core i7-11700K Rocket Lake 8-Core 3.6 GHz LGA 1200 processor.

The question is will this RAM work or do I need to stick with 3200? It's been a few years since I did a build and would appreciate any help. Thanks

anything above 3200 is considered overclocking
with that RAM work, most likely yes it will work at 3600
