  • NVME not showing in BIOS Gigabyte B460- HD3 BIOS F3

I have a Gigabyte B460-HD3 motherboard it has two connectors for M2 PCIe SSD's. I fitted a Samsung 970 Evo plus NVME to the M2Q_SB connector on the motherboard but it does not show up in the BIOS in Easy Mode. When I select Settings > I/O Ports > NVMe the configuration information about the Samsung 970 Evo plus NVME is there and it loads Windows 10 . The BIOS settings in the Boot menu are CSM Support > Disabled. This states "disables UEFI CSM and supports UEFI BIOS boot process only. (Default)" .

But, when connected to the M2A_SB connector the Samsung 970 Evo plus NVME does show up in the BIOS in Easy Mode as well as in the advanced settings.

Is there anybody who can explain why this is the case?

    Thanks,
