  • Problem with startup

    Hi,

Having a bit of a head scratcher with my PC. I have a situation where if I start my machine by turning on the power at the wall or via the switch on the PSU it starts fine. If I haven't turned the power off and I try to start it after I have been away for a while then goes into a boot loop. Switching off and back on again sorts it out. Restarts are fine and so is turning on shortly after turning off.

Gigabyte told me at the beginning of the year that this was because my PSU was not fully compliant with ATX V12 2.4. I coped for a while with the problem, but I need to get it fixed now, so I've got a new PSU that is fully compliant with ATX V12 2.4. Sadly this has made no difference at all.

Anyone got any ideas how I might be able to fix this (short of ditching the motherboard or getting a mains power switch installed on the front of the computer!)??
