  • possible mobo issue

p67a-ud3p-b3, latest bios. Been running this since 1/2011 (yes, had to exchange board back then due to b3 issue) without issues. Experiencing problems last month which may be hardware related. Running W10, pro, 32 bit, since July, and was OK till ann update. Tried all kind of remedies including repair install. Only boots properly 1 out of 4. Other hardware is

    2500k stock, 212+ evo heatsink/fan
    Antec 550watt psu
Sandisk SSd plus, 256G, passes Sandisks smart test
    2x2gb adata ddr3 pc1600
    idling temps 35-39

Problem exists with slots 1/3 loaded. Will not boot at all with 2/4 loaded...no post, will start and stop cycle every few seconds, with no end. I let this go for 5 minutes. Bad boot with slot 1. This is being posted after a good boot with 1 stick in slot 2.

Should I suspect the board, the memory, or my sanity? Thanks for listening.

    Re: possible mobo issue

Try to clean memory contacts gently with school rubber and test each slot only by 1 stick.
    Maybe one stick faulty.
Load BIOS Optimized Defaults and try to Clean_CMOS.

Thanks. Did clear cmos. Will clean contacts, and try each stick in each slot. Today's boot was good with that same stick in slot 2.
