  • Coretemp cannot read temps from CPU

I'm not sure if this was the right place to post this, however I am willing to bet it's related to some BIOS setting I haven't changed.

    Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 5 running F5h BIOS
    Core i3-6100

I just got everything installed, i3 OC'd to 4.3GHz at 1.32v, Coretemp cannot read any temps and starts up at 100 degrees C and stays there, HWMonitor displays CPU temps but it doesn't seem accurate at all. I recall reading somewhere that BCLK OC'ing non-K CPUs would result in no temps being able to be read by 3rd party apps, but I wanted to confirm if this was the case or if I'm just missing some setting in BIOS to allow temperatures to be read?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Use HWiNFO or AIDA64.

    Btw,
    CoreTemp ver.1.1 ?

      Yes, V1.1

Does HWinfo or AIDA64 have a minimized mode?

Have AIDA64 working, however it doesn't seem like the CPU temps are reading accurately. Idle temps jump from 32-36 constantly and sometimes goes up to 56 and back down to 32 all within a matter of seconds.

So, it's mean that you have some activities in idle.
            Btw,
            Core Temp 1.2 is out...
