  • GA-Z170X-UD5: no video output on HDMI port with internal Intel HD Graphics?

For starters I want to use the internal Intel HD Graphics of my Core i7 Skylake with the HDMI port of the motherboard. However, the monitor stays black, no video output at all

The board seems to boot up all right as far as it can with no OS, at least as far as I can tell with no video output.
When I unplug the HDMI cable from the GA-Z170X-UD5 and plug it into my notebook's HDMI port I immediately get an image on my monitor, so the monitor side seems to be fine.

    Any thoughts?

Are you by any chance running ram at XMP profile (higher than 2133)? Might be related but I'm using the integrated skylake gpu over DVI and get random signal loss if I turn on XMP profile and run the ram at 2666. I've contacted Gigabyte about this so hopefully it'll be resolved next bios.

Also, I'd start a support ticket with them about this exact issue, they'll make a note of it for the next version.
