Hey,
I am trying to install linux as a dual boot with windows 10 and am running across a unique error I believe is bios related.
I have a relatively new X99 - UD4 running the F12 BIOS and i am trying to dual boot Windows 10 with Linux.
Windows 10 install is fine, however on trying to boot off the Linux installation disc I get errors starting "cpu not responding" followed by a restart and then me spending the next fifteen minutes repairing the master boot record with my windows recovery usb drive.
I wanted to know if anyone had experienced anything similar or had any ideas as to what may be causing this. I have a secure boot compatible os (tried Mint and Ubuntu), and have tried the obvious things such as disabling fast boot, etc.
Thanks.
