  • G41M Combo DDR3 RAM not working

    Hi TweakTown members,

I have a G41M Combo board, I purchased a Kingston KVR13N9S8/4, but the computer is unable to boot up with the new memory. The power light lights up, but PC couldn't on, and can't reach bios.

    My sistem specs are:
    Intel Pentium Dual-core E5500 @ 2.8ghz
    G41M-Combo
    Sapphire Radeon HD R7 250X

    Help is much appreciated.

This memory looks quite new, at least the PDF is dated 2015, unlikely it will work with this board.
What memory did you have in it before?

I was using ddr2 ram before. I heard I would need to overclock it to make it work.

The DDR3 you mean? No, this chipset simply won't work with memory that is 512M x 8-bit, you need 256 x 8 bit modules, look at the board compatibility list and try to find RAM that is qualified.
