Looking at upgrading from a Linksys E1200 N300 router to something faster, such as a TP-LINK Archer C5 AC1200. I use the router for wireless for my laptop and ethernet (UPnP) for a dac, and run an ethernet cable through it to from cable modem to an i7 desktop computer. The latter's mobo is a GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 rev. 1.3. since the board predates current crop of 5ghz/802.11ac routers, my question is whether or not the board's LAN chip, a Realtek RTL8111E (10/100/1000) is sufficient or I'd need add a card to get full functionality. The Realtek site says the chip "Supports 1-Lane 2.5Gbps PCI Express Bus," but I don't know if that's even relevant to my question (Realtek). The Realtek driver is up to date (11-14). What do I need to know here? Thanks,
