  • Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H BIOS Settings

I'm trying to sort a problem with the PC sometimes hanging on boot. There are various settings in the F15Q BIOS I don't understand.

    1. Do I need to enable IRST in the BIOS ? I'm not using RAID.
    2. Should I enable CSM always? I can boot in UEFI only but then I don't see other drives to boot from.
    3. How do you set up Secure boot for Windows 8?
    4. Fast boot doesn't work in version F15Q. Is there a more up to date BIOS which works?

I sort of agree with wazza...one of the F16 BIOS would be better. I like & run one of the F16 modded BIOS on my Z77 UD5H.

I noticed the official gigabyte site only lists F15q as the latest Beta bios. I'm having an issue where when set to AC BACK = ON, my system doesn't power when AC power is restored. Has this been corrected in the F16 BIOS?

I honestly don't know...I don't set up my BIOS that way.
