Gigabyte Marvell HDD LED LIT

Hello,

I have a G1 Sniper 5 and have to say I have another stupid problem. If a hard drive is plugged into the marvell controllors ports and not the six black intel IRST ports the Hard Drive led stays lit.

I have done some research and have tried calling gigabyte support but they are UNAVIALIABLE? Whats the story here apparently this is only with some motherboards and there is a patch I HOPE. Thank you guys

When did you call Gigabyte? They may be out for the holidays....
There is a patch that works for the Z87 UD5H boards, it will likely work for your board but I don't know for sure.

Yes, it will work as someone I sent it to replied.
"Thank you so much for doing that. You saved me hours on the phone with gigabyte support. I actually did the FW update on a g1 Sniper 5 motherboard. Took a risk it was for the ud5h but they both had the same problem and the same marvell controller. By the way it worked perfectly."
