  • X79-UD5, f13w and memory problem

I recently tried f13w and it did fix my not being ably to use UEFI booting, which was great. It however also created a bug with all my installs (Win 7, Linux, hackintosh) where my 64Gb of ram reported as 60. It seems the stick in slot 6 was reporting as 4GB as opposed to 8. In the bios "MIT Current Status"screen all ram reported correctly.

Gigabyte's tech support insisted that it is my OS install (all of them?) Reverting to 13p fixed the RAM issue, but no UEFI boot again.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Is there a work around with either 13p or 13w? (I tried 13z, same memory problem.)
