Hey guys,
First of all, I want to say that this system was running and working fine for 4 months running Windows 7. All hardware was good and everything was running fine.
I recently did a clean install of Windows 8. It's been working fine for a while, running everything great, all is well.
Until one morning I go to power on my system, it goes through Bios and POST beep is good. But as soon as it gets to the screen where it would say "starting windows" it just does a full power off like someone hit the power switch.
I've fixed this once by taking the windows disk and running repair. Then it worked for about a week or 2 and now again this morning the same issue is back.
Possible culprits:
F7 bios on the motherboard
fast start in windows 8
sata operation mode / issues with windows 8's EFI
corrupt boot files (windows updates?)
Any help would be appreciated guys, thanks in advance.
