one question,does haswell downclock with a fixed cpu voltage? or only with auto/offset(dvid) or adaptive offset

Yes, it downclocks with fixed vcore.
Voltage drops as well at idle.

Currently my speed is fluctuating around 800MHz, and the voltage around .75 -.8. System is currently overclocked to 4.5.

The people who think vcore is not dropping at idle either have power saving settings disabled or using wrong version of cpu-z. Has to be 1.64.0 to show idle voltage.

LinX 0.6.5......GFlops......>200 with only 4200Mhz....

Has it got something to do with the problem size? On my runs the problem size is always around 43000.

Stasio did not test all memory he only test 2560MB of ram hence the low problem size and each loop only took 18+ seconds. Still with my 8gb think 7gb test each loop lasted like 81 sec

so lower problem size ie not all memory tested higher gflops even with 100mhz slower.

Edit memory timings are different too.

Yeaow! I don't think I'd be running that version of linx without better cooling.

Even delidded mine hits 84c with the newest Linx/all memory used.

How do I determine the optimum uncore relative to CPU core? Currently testing CPU core=42 (VCore=1.13V) with Uncore=38, but don't know the difference if I set uncore differently. Shouldn't it be the same as my CPU core=42 too, so as not to bottleneck? Currently at 120 Gflops only on air, w/ max 85C.

Uncore does not need to be same as core speed.
