Anandtech review of the UP4 TH: AnandTech - Gigabyte Z77X-UP4 TH Review: Thunderbolt Times Two
He notes the inaccurate cpu voltage readings from within the OS, something that irks me about the way Gigabyte tweaks voltage reporting. Unlike the higher tier boards there are no manual voltage read points so you are stuck with no real idea of what relation the vcore reported in the OS has to reality.
I suppose for overclocking what you want to know in the end is the cpu temperatures to prevent catastrophic failure, but it hardly leaves a point for comparison from cpu to cpu if you can't trust the voltage reported.
Still, a good overclocking board if not a little overpriced. Unless of course you are actually using Thunderbolt.
Compared to my UD5H boards, the UP4 TH isn't exactly overflowing with features. But it has one good outcome: it got wazza to buy a Gigabyte board again.

its a basic board compared to the up5,it does seem solid when overclocked though and with little voltage for me anyway, only strange thing ive seen is the ccc control panel not loading up if you drop cpu dvid/voltage to low,it can pass ibt but not load ccc at startup, soon as i raise dvid one or two clicks its fine

Which drivers are you using now? The beta 8 drivers are smoother for me (UD5H) but I'm still having problems overclocking my 7950's over 1000 core. Very touchy.
I'm using .010 DVID with my "hot" 3770K and medium LLC which shows as 1.272v vcore under load @ x45. This is on the UP4 TH.

Yeah they about have crossfire stable now, or better anyway than the earlier betas.
I think there is some minor incompatibilities with Afterburner and CCC still but not as bad as before running crossfire. I haven't tried Trixx with the new drivers.

just wanted to post the reg tweak i used to enable sound through the front panel if like me you hate using realtek sound drivers and have a case with no hdaudio connector just ac97,theres no bios option for hdaudio/ac97 like there was on x58 so if your case only has ac97 front panel connector your forced to use the realtek drivers to get any sound
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}000\GlobalSettings
Change the value EnableDynamicDevices to zero.
Reboot
i prefer the boards onboard sound with the microsoft/windows drivers,i just dont like the sound quality of the realtek, the bass is poor imo compared to default microsoft drivers,i dont have creative sound(i should have deleted that bit) just use the standard ms drivers what windows installs before you install the realtek ones
i can crank up the bass boost with the standard drivers
my case is brand new but its a cheap one,ive used two of these cases so far and they are great for the price, can fit in a noctua d14 and the silver arrow coolers(with end caps removed) downside is they only have ac97 front panel audio block, which is an issue with this board due to no bios option to switch between hdaudio/ac97 so it knocks out the sound if your running a case with ac97 only and dont want realtek drivers(come on gigabyte sort it out!!!)
Oh, you're a headphones guy? I have a 5.0 setup / AVR at the pc. I don't really do any serious listening here but it's good enough for games and what not. I've just got some Polk monitors, no room for sub. Actually I seldom use a sub at my HT because my speakers in there do a pretty good job on the low end.
I can't wear headphones because I always forget they are on me and yank them out of the jack. lol.
