yh theres a new beta 6 out ill find the link,they are more troublesome on z77 than they are on z68,i found out i had to resort back to +0.010 dvid rather than +0.005v,as games would just go to desktop or ccc wouldnt load,it must be the pcie clock being affected

I've got beta 6, haven't loaded it yet. Sort of afraid to after what beta 4 did to my system.
You can monitor the clock with HWINFO, FWIW.

Something else I thought of, had to remove one of my radiator fans because of the heat sink on the UP4 sticking out too much. This is in my Switch build. Might be useful for someone to know that.

the 840 uses cheap tlc nand though,compared to mlc nand on the 830,idk how well it lasts over time

Well it figures they get something good and mess with it. I like my 830's though and will stick with them.

What's the difference between the two versions of the graphics drivers? I already have Dot Net 4 full installed, if that is what one version is for.

the 840 pro is the one to get,it uses mlc nand and has the fastest iops 100k and 500+ read write

But that's the exact opposite of what you said earlier??

How bout those beta graphic drivers, do you use the dot net 4 version or not? I already have dot net 4 full installed.

yeh net 4 version

theres two versions of the 840,the non pro has cheaper tlc nand and the pro version has the mlc nand and faster iops

EDIT just read my previous post,i didnt explain very well,i was talking about the cheaper version,idk it might be fine but it does use cheaper nand,samsung are the only ones to extract such performance from it

OK, I see on the 840's.

I missed v12.10 of the drivers somehow. I installed it after 12.11 beta 4 & 6 didn't do so good. Not as fast as the beta on stock settings, but when I add anything via Afterburner to the betas it crashes. I'll stick with 12.10 for now I guess.

Honestly wazza I haven't played any games recently. Just running 3DMark11 it freezes up the system or else blue screens and reboots. It lists one of the ATI drivers as being at fault.
I wanted to do some benchmarking first, plus I'm still downloading from STEAM after losing all the games.
But above and beyond I'm still having problems w/OC the cards. Some of it is the drivers for sure, some might be Afterburner IDK. I never spend enough time with it to run everything down as it isn't my highest priority right now, I just fiddle with it a little at the end of the day.
Heck, I JUST got my printer drivers reinstalled.

I'm still working on wiring on the new rig, very time consuming making almost everything up from scratch and sleeving.

I'm not a big gamer, besides I thought you had to be lazy to play games all the time?
No I'm still trying to get all the games downloaded and reinstalled. Got another free game with SSD and I downloaded most of yesterday and started back this morning. I've got slow DSL out here in the boonies, even though they laid fiber up on the highway. No telling when that will go online.
Been working on my new build here and there between pulling my leaf rake around 5 acres trying desperately to keep up with all the oak trees shedding. My poor little goldfish pond gets deluged with leaves daily too and I have to unclog the pump. Always something to do around here!

you need some netting on your pond,then just lift off along with the leaves,unless its a huge pond

I tried that, I have a bunch of large rocks collected from around the US mortared around the edges and the netting always gets caught. Turned out to be less hassle just to dip them out. It's only about 13 foot from the waterfall to the pump and 4 wide so it's fairly easy to reach around. Problem is a once small tree grew to be very very large!
