  • Z77X-D3H + 16GB Samsung Green Memory Issue

    Hi

I have 16GB (4x 4GB sticks) of Samsung Green ram (MV-3V4G3D/US) and I’m trying to overclock it but even at 1.6v I cannot get it stable above 1600Mhz 11-11-11-28-2T but many people on other motherboards can clock this RAM to 2400Mhz without issue.

Is this being looked at? Is there a fix or a new bios version coming soon?

    Thanks for any help

You should probably state the rest of your system specs and settings for starters . :)

Most likely you need to up your vtt voltage a little bit. I will be getting a Z77X-UD3H and i7-3770k in the next few days, I already have the ram. I have a 8gb kit and have clocked it up to 2133 on X58.

Reports on Z77 incompatibilities with this memory have been sent in, keep an eye on this thread for an update once I hear back with BIOS updates

No problem!! Thanks for understanding about moving the posts around an such!

I'm sorry you are having issues, I've been playing with the same kits in testing so I know exactly what you mean and have sent in a report. Hopefully they'll get it sorted out for everyone quickly!

Re: Z77X-D3H + 16GB Samsung Green Memory Issue

I just got my Z77X-UD3H and i7 3770k up and running a couple of days ago. I am using the same Samsung ram and it will not going higher then 2133 in bios. You can set it to 2200 or 2400 but it will still display as 2133 even in windows. I am using the latest bios for this board which is F10.

So far I have had only 2 BSOD and they where do to OCing. I am currently stablet at 4.7ghz with HT at 1.26v with I think medium LLC and sleep works.
