BIOS fix for all Z77 with these modules will be coming, just have to hold on a little longer bud. Sorry you are having issues, I've sent in a report and will update here once I hear back with compatible BIOSes.

*For anyone that missed my earlier post, please be sure to see my post here, and if my findings apply to you then the issue you are having may only be memory BIOS incompatibility issues (They'll get it sorted, just hang tight)

lockups every few seconds, to a couple of minutes, can'y flash bios from F5 to any other version, says file too small from bios update.
cant us another program to o it because it locks up in the bIOS and before even managing to load it in.
eventually got windows on it after crashing all the way through loading it in.

tried it on the SSD , quit that after too many lockups, tried on new HDD, have given in now.
may try again tomorrow or just send the heap of junk back to amazon.
new everything except keyboard and mouse, and they randomly lock up as well.
      corsair low profile white meory.

I bought the processor and memory and MOBO cos they got gold awards in the magazine. D'oh.

PLEASE can someone tell me how to get past the bios file too small in qbios update.

I will try that again one last time.
I'm completely gutted - its turned an exciting new pc into a complete nightmare.

      Thanks

Did you execute the compressed bios file you downloaded to extract the bios file? Had to ask because you referred to yourself as a newbie.

The bios file should be 8MB

Initially I had some freezes in Explorer 9 and when my Logitech Momo Usb Steering was attached to the this board I was not even able
        to enter the bios screens.

But since I installed Bios F7, so far the mb is rock stable, all settings on Auto in bios (except 1394 en audio swithed off) cpu
        i7 3770k running at 4200 mhz.

There is always the possibility that you have a faulty mb, but I would recommend the following.:

remove all usb components except the mouse and keyboard.
        use 1 ram stick.
do a clear cmos, remove the power cable.
recheck if all cables are connected correctly.

        use the force!

eventhough I understand your frustration, it might not be the mb but other components or a combination
or even you psu being responsible for your current problems.

Well I had no problems with my first build on this board since F7, have since bought 3 more of these motherboards built 3 more pc's. No problems at all using corsair vengeance lp 16gb kit 1600c9 and I7 3770k cpus all clock to 4.6 so I think most rmas will turnout ok and its compatibilty with whatever people are using with the boards

Well I hope so. I am using Samsung RAM. I have the Wi-Fi version of the board on the brown truck.

Just finished my GA-z77x-ud5h build last week. Everything working fine. No Overclock yet. Very stable with F7.

Only issue I had was using a old flash drive to update the firmware when I first powered it up. Plugging it into the rear port caused the BIOS to freeze, unplugging it cause it to un-freeze. Move it to a front USB 3 port and it worked fine. Then I flashed to F7 and everything has been fine. No random shutdowns, hangs or freezes.

The first time i turned the machine on i had all 4 slots populated.

I never knew it was best to do the very first boot with 1 stick.
