Thanks! To be honest after resolving some Windows issues (I don't think they are hardware related) I think the system is stable. I put it to "Sleep" and back to normal mode without problem (contrary to what others reported on previous BIOS versions). The only buggy thing is the Mouse Freezing which is really annoying (it happens like every 20-30 seconds).
My mouse is the Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX.
I will definitely do the backup update as you said. So that's ALT+F10 many times in the Splash screen.. How do I confirm it has happened succesfully?
Setting to "extreme" won't push my material too much? (heating, stability etc?)
Question: Should I re-install windows as I changed the controller after installation? (that's more of a Windows question..feel free to ignore it:))
it will show on screen that its being updated, stick with it as the niggles will get fixed, its worth emailing gigabyte and tell them the make/model of mouse thats freezing and bios version so they can fix it
no it wont hurt it just puts the power phases in a faster mode to keep up with the cpu so it wont freeze/crash,it wont affect temps, only cpu voltage and llc level will affect that
what controller? ahci? it shouldnt need reinstalling

I mean when I plugged my SATA cable to a different socket in the motherboard (it was in the Marvel one when I installed windows but I switched it to the Intel one..)
edit: The mouse/keyboard problems (Unifying wireless logitech both of em) are amplified when I have a disk connected to the USB port next to the one the USB receiver is...
Could it be I have to get rid of the Intel USB 3.0 and Via drivers? (I think that's when it started..)

I updated the bios backup just fine and put the settings you told me. (voltage response fast and xtrme performance to the Pwm thingie..) but the temperatures of the cores are affected.. they're idling to 32-34C while before they were on 29-31/32.. is this possible?
hi yh clear cmos should fix it,try with one step down from ext performance and see if it lowers idle temps,it doesnt affect temps on my board but its different from yours
where is it affecting the kb/mouse? in the bios only? or in windows too? try with the via drivers, they wont install if that isnt the usb3 controller on that board
