Chris, if you think the ssds load slow, well,I'm using a single hdd at the moment, the speed was already pretty slow, now its worse on the g1 assassin 2, have you seen how many system drivers this board uses, theres hardly any hardware on the board lol, its crazy.I think nearly all of them are the cpu.I don't get how other manufacturers of x79 boards managed to release them with all the basic monitoring and there fully working bios and yet gigabyte release there x79 unfinished, lacking in performance ,they could of at least give us our basic monitoring ie,cmos batt,3.3v a few others. Have you tried rste GUI 3.1.0.1085, i find it a little more responsive for me, but im using hdd, give it a try, although i think your probably using it as you already updated the option rom in the bios.Im also apolagise to the thread owner for going a lttle of topic. Just thought id let you know that you can use hddscan to mintor your drives with irst enterprise scsi controllers.

It it is possible I would appreciate a updated bios for GA-EX58-UD4P.

I am using the latest beta bios - 14q - from this forum. ex58ud4p.rar

By updated I mean all the latest firmware for IRST, Realteck and Jmicron and what else there is.

And also a short how to.

Huge thank you in advance! :-)

Once in the BIOS again set AHCI settings and Marvell Firmware mode to "Force", then save/apply/reboot and let it load through to windows, before that happens Marvell Firmware will update and board will reboot.*

Just wanted to say that it works perfectly :-)

As far as I can see the jMicron raid (windows 7) is a bit faster with the upgrade.

My setup is as a Hackintosh configuration running OSX Lion from ICH10R in AHCI mode and that works perfectly. Running a Vertex 2 SSD fast and stable.

                  Thank you very much. :-)

This release will not enable TRIM on the RAID0 feature, but it will be added in the next release 5.11 RST.
                                More you can found here:

                                Google Translate

                                Another one (from same author):

Since Intel had announced in August 2011 the implementation of the TRIM support for RAID0 members with the next RST driver of the v11.5 series (>LINK<), it seems possible for me, that these new Intel RST drivers v11.5.0.1149 are the first ones, which do support the TRIM resp. UNMAP command even for SSD's, which are part of a RAID0 array, but this feature may only be available while running Win8 (32/64bit).
That would be a big step towards for users with 2 or more SSD's as RAID0 members!
