    Re: Gigabyte Modified bios

Download Bootable_USB_Drive_HP_223.rar from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way
This is the HP USB Boot Drive Software v 2.23 with DOS System files and Instructions included.
Create a folder for this and Extract (unRar) it.

I use that to Make Bootable USB Drives.
    PS
I use FAT or FAT32 Format, either should work for you.

Good job on Starting this Thread Acebmxer !

Ok, I've flashed with q flash, verified ok, followed your instructions, pc tried to switch itself on after plugging power, even though I chose shutdown, anyway , I've done the do, set my oc and booted fine, still need to force Marvell update but apary from that I'm ok, seems to be a slightly quicker boot with 11.1 Rom, thanks so much.

@Lonelobo did you want the marvell firmware also or just the intel raid rom and the lan rom?

@Boe your quite welcome. Glad to hear everything went ok. Let me know how you make out when updating the firmware.

                    Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios

Acebmxer, I'd like to have the mod your doing for the UD9. I don't need the marvell firmware. I had issues with the new F6 bios. First time I ever got BSOD while installing OS. (code 1a) Went back and reflashed and got OS up and running - but - I've spent 4 plus hours trying to get my game controller to work. Down in the dumps, man. I guess I'll go to my backup rig for now.

                    Thanks, wibujo

Ok not sure if anyone can do this without bricking/corrupting the Bios, but hope it's ok to ask:
Previous attempts have failed, but can anyone try modding the UD5 B3 P67 Bios (and if it works, the UD7 for others) to remove the multi-step LLC and reenable the old LLC1/LLC2 from the F3G and F3H bios versions? Good luck actually trying to make that work, though...seems impossible

(hope this request isnt out of line....)

I don't think we have anyone here that can do it, unless some random non-regular member in hiding is a genius, if so that would be cool and if so please step up and help us out!

NoJuann already said he couldn't right? That's the only person I can think of. I tried and can't via hex or other methods. I even used partial edited _EN_Code files from older BIOS in newer BIOS, and that partially worked but BIOS was corrupt and unreadable, missing settings, ect and only got worse the more you moved around haha! Someone out there can do it for sure, we just haven't met them yet is all
