  • Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios

    Hi ! I'm currently using z77x UD5H with F16 mod 10.
PC is stable for few days, then it suddenly freeze. when I look at the debug LED, it is "D2". I checked the manual, D2 is PCH initialization error.
Googled it, so far I can't find the cause of this problem.
It would be nice if someone knows and help me !

@Morpheus: What kind of tool is that UEFI BIOS Updater? A tool to replace Option ROMs etc.? If so, where can I find it?

On a side note I could use the 13.1 SATA RAID ROM too....

            Try every way.
Maybe you can try lastest F20d. If not, better is to open a new thread with more info about your settings.

            Thanks.

Hello, I am just getting ready to try out one of your modified bios for the GA-Z87X-UD4H and I was curious about how to back out should the bios not work as anticipated.
I understand that flashing back to an older firmware should be fine but does this also revert all the updated firmware to their previous versions as well?
Also, will there be a modified bios posted using GA-Z87X-UD4H - F8d as the base line?

Thanks for all of your help and answering the more than likely NOOBish questions.

                Hi all,

Just signed in to say thanks @VirualFred for the f8c modded, for the G1Sniper M5.

Nice and stable, running @4.6 on 1.25, temps with Aida64 very respectable, but work in progress.

As for all Sniper owners with Killer sets, who do not want the Killer Network Manager bloatware:
I wrote Qualcomm asking them why end-users had to deal with software they really don't want. They were kind enough to send me the stripped down driver for the Killer E220x.

Cause i don't know if RAID ROM 13.1.0.203 works properly with P67/Z68, i put 2 files in zip : mod1 with RAID ROM 12.7.0.1936 (modded for TRIM support in RAID0) and mod2 with 13.1.0.2030 if you want to try by yourself :

                        G1.Sniper2 BIOS U1C mod

                        Modified with :

                        Intel Legacy RAID ROM 11.5.0.1347 to 12.9.0.1936 with TRIM in RAID0 > mod1 (and 13.1.0.2030 > mod2)
                        Marvell RAID ROM 1.0.1.0025
Intel VGA BIOS 2130 to 2170
                        Sandy GOPdriver 2.0.1007 to 2.0.1024
                        Ivy GOPdriver 3.0.1002 to 3.0.1027
CPU MicroCode Pack (with Sandy 6A728 and Ivy 6A919)
                        ME Firmware 8.0.0.1351 to 8.1.51.1471
                        Modified splash logo 2

Thanks in advance for your feedback (are you using RAID0 on SSD ? You didn't give us any specifications...)
