    Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios

    Hey there stasio!

I have the GA-Z97MX-Gaming 5 motherboard. Saw you posted a moded F4 bios in this thread but I updated to F6 and can't downgrade to F4. Can you please mod the latest F6 bios for this motherboard? Also, seeing your F4 bios notes, what does it specifically mean? Like, you updated the killer network from 2.1.1.1 to 2.1.1.5? Is it a driver on the motherboard?

    Thanks in anticipation!!!

    @stasio

I am new to this forum and registered just so I can ask: could I get a modded bios for my Z97X-UD3H?

    Hi guys!
I don't know if somebody posted it yet, so I updated the Z77X-D3H's bios to the latest microcode for spectre patch.
The base is the bios from first post: Z77X-D3H BIOS F18i mod.
    I flashed it with Q-Flash.

    CPU MicroCode updated:
Sandy (CPUID 206A7) microcode version 2D (07-02-2018) and Ivy (CPUID 306A9) microcode version 1F (07-02-2018)

    Download:

Hi Stasio, I already contacted the gigabyte support before speaking to you here and so far have not responded.

Ask me a question, does this difference in the IIRC between the motherboard rev 1.0 and 1.1 is at the software or hardware level?

    Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios

I found that main difference with Rev.1.1 is the updated power supply IIRC stage on the board, which suit Xeon.
    Btw,
for clarification ask GB technical support.

    Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios

    Hello, Stasio.

I am using the Xeon processor 2680 v2 final retail version manufactured in costa rica.

I tested the bios that you sent me and the computer turns on for 3 seconds and restarts, turns on for 3 seconds and restarts again without end.

I did not understand the reason the f21 bios did not work, you showed that it has the microcode of the Xeon 2680 v2 in thesis was to work.

I saw on the gigabyte website that the GA x79 ud3 rev 1.1 supports Xeon 2680 v2 from the bios f20, but I do not understand why it did not work on ga x79 ud3 rev 1.0, they are practically the same boards.

Please if you get a way and edit a bios especially for the Xeon 2680 v2, I will be very grateful.

    Thank you Stasio!

Your CPUID for the Xeon E5-2680 v2 is 306E4, so BIOS F21e support.
