It is important to go in command mode (CMD) NOT Windows mode. Hit the "Start" button in Windows 7 ...go to "Run" ..type CMD ..then you will be in command mode.

Hope it helps and don't be sorry for your English ..its pretty good to me !

Don't know if this works, should be plenty of space for updates.

Hello, thank you very much for your help!

Yersterday i try to run the FWUpdlcl64.exe whit CMD.

I put the FWUPDLCL64.exe and the ME_8.1.40.1416.BIN file in my C:/. Then i open CMD whit administrator and i write, CD\ and then i write FWUPDLCL64.exe. But this time i get THIS message, ""ERROR 8716: invalid usage"".

After that, i try to run the MEINFOwin64.exe and VERY strangely it say,

            -----> FW version: 8.1.10.1286 <--------

            MEI driver version: 9.5.2.1489

            !

What is mean? i success to install the firmware ??? Everything is done or i have to do another thing?

You are still on 8.1.10 MEI firmware and latest is 8.1.40.
Also update your MEI driver to 9.5.10

virtualfred if you have created a report you will see it's using a nested firmware volume which is a compressed structure stored in volume 1 and this is where the problem is.

                      Code:
                      +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
                      | Image Size : 800000 |
                      +------+-------------------------------+--------------+-----------+-----------+
                      | FV | FV TYPE | Location | Length | FFSs |
                      +------+-------------------------------+--------------+-----------+-----------+
                      | 00 | Non-FFS FV | 00200000 | 020000 | 001 |
                      | 01 | Non-FFS FV | 00240000 | 4C0000 | 003 |
                      | 02 | Nested FV | 00000000 | 832000 | 186 |
                      | 03 | Boot Block FV | 00700000 | 100000 | 050 |
                      +------+-------------------------------+--------------+-----------+-----------+
Even though there is still more than 2MB free in volume 1 the nested structure itself is limited. The posted mod increases the nested volume size thus allowing more room. AFAIK this is not something that you might be able to do with MM and I do not know if doing this would cause any problems. What you are currently doing is probably the best that can be achieved under the circumstances.

Mseirco try using driver MEI 8 not MEI 9.
