I have very limited experience overclocking and I could use some help.
My system specs:
ga-x58a-ud3r v2.0
i7 950 at 3.06ghz, turbo boosted to 3.2ghz
12gb corsair xms3 ram (6x2gb) using xms profile
Antec 902 v3 ATX case
Corsair CMPSU-650TX PSU
Raid 0 consists of 2 m4 64MB SSDs (128 stripe) with a 1TB WDC for storage
EVGA GTX 470 overclocked to core 725, memory 1750 (idle 37C, load 72C with EVGA OC scanner)
CPU sits on idle at 39C, under prime 95 stress test goes max to 63C. CPU core Voltage (From CPUID) sits at 1.248V on idle.
Also wanted to mention that with my system at idle, CPUid shows my core speed at 3.2ghz, with core voltage at 1.248V. During loading, it would fluctuate between 1.232V and 1.216V.
I would like to get a stable 3.8GHZ, to 4.2GHZ. How would I go about setting up my bios to do this?
I have read the guides on other forums and have an idea on how to play with the frequencies, but I have no idea of how to setup voltages for stabilizing system.
Thank you!
