Re: x58a-ud3r and tri sli
You can SLI different cards? I mean you are asking about 2x9800 right, with 260?
It will be PCIEX16_1 running at 16X, PCIEX16_2 running at 8X, and PCIEX8_1 running at X8 as well
You want to use slot PCIEX8*_2, so your first card is not cut down in lanes.
It is only possible though to run x16/x8/x8

Performance should not be affected, see our recent discussion on lane bandwidth here

Re: x58a-ud3r and tri sli
Ohh ok, 3 x 9800 then? If so go for it, should give you 1/3-1/4 higher score maybe.
I ran triple 3870's for a while, scores were about as expected. One card score + second card = usually close to double score. Adding the third card usually added half or a little more of one card score to total of first two cards (Sometimes less, sometimes more)
Of course though, I think I did that on a x4 slot with the third, so it may have been a little bit limited.Last edited by Lsdmeasap; 05-12-2010, 01:56 AM.
