Here are the settings that I have tried for 200x21 with HT on. These will bosd with in 2-3 min of prime small FFT. It did pass put test in vantage. The bosd would varry from 0x00000124 or 0x00000101 which i would pump up vcore or vtt depending on which came up or I would get other bosd which I tried more vcore or vtt or upping pci to 101. What do you think is holding me up?

Well I might know what was holding me back... I think it was vcore as I reloaded my 190x21 settings and disabled HT bumped up vcore to 1.375 and set 200x21 and I just passed 10 pass linx at 1gb ram.

Seems like you are finding the problem eh? Put HT back on then and use more vcore :)

Hey LSD can you post your bios setting for 4.2? Do you have HT and turbo on?

              Re: Help overclocking i7-930 on a GA-EX58-UD5

I just noticed a couple of things. I just reloaded my 200x21 to further stress it to check for stability. On boot up I noticed real temp lost the ability to detect cpu load. Cpu multi changes while load but the the % number. While running 10 passes of linx at 4gb ram. On the 3rd pass it bosd stop 101. I upped vcore to 1.384 in bios cpu-z sees 1.376 idle and 1.360 under load after the 2nd or 3rd pass i noticed vcore started to drop to 1.344 under load. Thats with LLC on.

Right now testing max temps reached 65 63 62 60 on the cores 47c cpu 37c on the mch. I have a 120mm fan blowing on it :)

Do you think if I raise qpi/vtt up from 1.355 i could drop vcore?

Yes, I can post you a few sets of settings I use for 4.2Ghz if you want, always HT on Turbo it depends but usually not. I use 25 x 168 and 21x200 most often, but I could give you a few others as well if you want. I have a volt hungry C0 though, so my settings may not be of much help to you?

                Let me know

QPI/Vtt really would not help with vcore like you would expect from Vtt doing so sometimes in 775 boards. 101 BSOD means you need more of course, your droop to 1.34 under load may just be at that specific Vcore setting in the BIOS, try the next few above that and the droop may not be such a large one. The amount varies for each setting, some being much larger than others.
